FAB FOOD ON A BUDGET - september 24-27

    What the weekend is about

We all have to re-learn to resist temptation in these turbulent times... But whilst it merely requires willpower to say NO to another handbag or suppress the urge to buy a new car, cutting down on living costs is not always as easy. After all, we all have to eat. And preferably without lowering our standards!

This cookery course targets exactly that challenge. You'll learn how to spend wisely when it comes to food and eating... how to make a little stretch a long way without compromising taste and quality. Best of all, it feels like a holiday!

You'll learn to replace expensive convenience foods with cheaper home-cooking - simple, quick and utterly delish... how to turn leftovers into delicious meals (without anyone noticing!)... to bring lunch to the office instead of buying over-priced sandwiches from a local deli... to turn one chicken into three meals...

Excursions include visits to an olive press, a winemakers, an organic bee-keeper and/or an award-winning goatscheese farm. Excursions are flexible and changeable wherever possible... provided all guests concur.

The cookery sessions are limited to 8 people. They are informal and fun (and hands-on for those who would like this).

    What the weekend includes...

    • 3 nights accommodation in B&B La Souqueto.
    • all meals and all wine - both at home and in restaurants
    • all transport to and from the airport and all excursions
    • all demonstrations and tutored winetastings

A waterside aperitif will be followed by our final dinner at La Porte Minervoise on the Canal du Midi.
